Join the DMW Discord and download the game. You'll also receive a direct message (DM) from Donny, a bot, with instructions on how to set up your login details. Open up the game and login in. You'll be prompted for a secondary passcode (which you can perpetually skip). Create a Tamer (the differences from the starter selection are negligible, and you can change to more useful characters later in the game) and select a starter Digimon. Check the current event notes for which starter Digimon is in rotation for a 30% bonus in stats. You can obtain the other starters at a later on.

Finish the initial tutorial quests. You'll be initially introduced to basics like scanning, returning, hatching and using items. Item drops from defeated digimon are collected with the Pick Up skill on your bar (quest items will auto-looted, and you can obtain Magnetic Cards to auto-loot other items). You can use the Map to help locate NPCs and digimon. Open up your gift box to receive a variety of useful rewards.

Go to D-Terminal, through DATS Centre which is accessed through the Phone Booth looking NPC, and go to Snowstorm Village and complete all the Main Quests, denoted by the purple color (also listed under Main Quest). You will start getting some money (T-Tera, M-Megabits or B-Bits) and can use this to Clone (upgrade stats) of your Digimon by talking to Richard Sampson inside Dats and using the Mega Reinforced Clone (Savers) from the Gift Box. Aim to upgrade all stats except HP. Also begin looking for a guild (alt click a nameto whisper, or /w [name]). Of note, when your digimon reaches Level 70, BanchouLeomon who wanders around the Gizumon will offer a questline to unlock Burst Mode. Have your stater in its base form to have the quests appear. Also Infinite Ice Wall (IIW) is a popular spot for leveling digimon between 1 and 100.

Your tamer should now be above 55 and can complete the Maze quests starting in Digimon Maze Entrance, accessed by walking through Western Area <West> in Western Area. This will take some time. Of note, F3 will be your primary source of farming currency, and also popular for leveling 1-114. Use some of the money to get some accessories and upgrade them (roll for acceptable stats, and to ~200%).

<Quest Rewards> PawnChessmon W in Dats Centre will offer rewards for completing the main quests of certain zones. When both Glacier Area and Western Area are turned in, it will offer a quest that rewards a fruit to increase your starter's size and improve its stats.

Finally, save File Island and Server Continent. At the very end, to unlock the Server Continent, you will need to complete the Infinite Mountain Dungeon which can be entered by using one entrance token, which costs 1 Black Gear. Devimon will also use an attack that does around 5000 damage if you don't use the guard item, also purchasable from Angemon on the side, but you should be able to survive one hit. People regularly run this dungeon and to complete the quest you only have to deal damage to the boss so you can piggyback off other players.

You should now have unlocked Ruin Mode which is SS+ and combined with the cloning, should be able to clear all of Verdanti Terminal and almost all of Shinjuku.

== Progression ==
Your first goal will be Susanoomon, an SSS digimon with an AoE skill useful for farming. In Verdanti Terminal, when 100 each of KaiserGreymon and Magnagarurumon have been killed (warning at 20) Susanoomon will spawn (max 10). Killing these will reward all players who dealt damage a roll on loot - notably Kaisergreymon or Magnagarurumon boxes. These will give a spirit used in their summoning, or rarely a book. Bokomon will take 1 Bokomon Book of Knowlege and one spirit item to "hatch" a spirit digimon. He will also trade a level 100 spirit digimon and 500M for a Shining spirit item. Also through him, ten spirit items (one of each of their respective elements, and the Human and Beast forms) as well as 1T are required for Kaisergreymon and Magnagarurumon. When both are 99, you can do a quest chain to unlock their Jogress, Susanoomon.

The Shadow Labyrinth (through D-Terminal) gives a vast amount of exp, but can only be entered twice a day. Leveling in a party with digimon 6 levels of each other gives the most efficient experience.

Introduction

Digimon Masters World is a private server for Digimon Masters Online. It has many differences between the official version, overall being more friendly to casual players and available globally.

Getting Started

Join the DMW Discord and download the game. You'll also receive a direct message (DM) from Donny, a bot, with instructions on how to set up your login details. Open up the game and login in. You'll be prompted for a secondary passcode (which you can perpetually skip). Create a Tamer (the differences from the starter selection are negligible, and you can change to more useful characters later in the game) and select a starter Digimon. Check the current event notes for which starter Digimon is in rotation for a 30% bonus in stats. You can obtain the other starters at a later on.

Starting Out

Finish the initial tutorial quests. You'll be initially introduced to basics like scanning, returning, hatching and using items. Item drops from defeated digimon are collected with the Pick Up skill on your bar (quest items will auto-looted, and you can obtain Magnetic Cards to auto-loot other items). You can use the Map to help locate NPCs and digimon. Open up your gift box to receive a variety of useful rewards.

You can safely delete or ignore your initial Kunemon, as it will quickly be outpaced by your starter. You should not upgrade any of the equipment you get as rewards, they will be made irrelevant by cheap equipment purchasable from other players.

Next Steps

Progression
