Mercenary Digimon are Digimon hatched from Hatchable Digi-Eggs.

Some Digimon can go beyond the Mega stage. These are called Side Mega or Burst Mode. Side Mega is, as it kind of gives away, another form of the Digimon in Mega form. These are often equally strong. Burst Mode, however, are stronger than regular Mega's and Side Mega's. For more details see Burst Mode.
